Health, Safety and Quality
"We work in an environment that has the potential to be extremely dangerous; it's up to us to manage & reduce the risks; both to our staff, third parties and the general public"
Within the Alan Campbell Group, health and safety is taken very seriously.
A health and safety ethos is promoted throughout the organisation at all levels, from clerical staff to site operatives, as well as across the management team.
Health and safety is one of the keystones of the operational end of our business, which is endorsed by:
- The Group is accredited to OHSAS 18001:1999
- The establishment of a robust health and safety policy
- Compliance with all current legislation, regulations and approved codes of practice
- The use of first class equipment that is regularly checked and certified
- The training of our teams at our own in-house training facility to a high standard of accreditation
- The use of specialist sub-contractors where necessary
- The promotion of a sense of responsibility across all members of staff
- The adoption of policy of continuous review and improvement
- The backing of a strong management team that place health and safety at the very top of the agenda
"Quality is not just some numbers and a kite-mark on our letterheads: It's doing a quality job on the ground, that satisfies our customers expectations and beyond" We have a view within the Alan Campbell Group that ISO accreditation is the bare minimum and should be reflected by the attitude of all of our teams.
The customer expects a quality job and we aim to deliver that "first time-every time".
- The Group is accredited to ISO 9001:2000
- The system is subject to continuous audit and review
- We take account of customers own special needs and operational procedures by incorporating them within our own quality documentation
- Regular quality reviews are held, both with our customers and internally
- Our field teams carry the responsibility of self-audit and are subject to regular internal audit by roving inspection teams
- We regularly hold internal seminars and briefings to make our teams aware of any up-dates and changes to codes of practice and specifications
Our ISO accreditation is not the end goal but the start of an on-going process of raising our quality profile.
